Anyway, neglect, ruin and abandonment unite this city thematically. Now it is decadent, dilapidated, smeared with graffiti and neglected. The central district, for example, used to be full of casinos, competing advertisements, huge sculptures, colorful, exhibitionist buildings – it was supposed to be such a district of glitz. It also has sub-areas that differ from each other, the appearance of which depends mainly on the usable character of a given location and the population living in it.
We wanted the city to be dense, vertical, organic – it has various shades.
As V, we enter not only a foreign city, but also get to know various stories and characters. It is a dark spot on the map of Night City and human cognition. We are talking about a completely different climate and environment. It’s a separate place, well guarded, a bit of a ghetto. The average citizen of Night City cannot go there, and there is usually no reason to go there. Victoria Stachowska: Dogtown formally functions as part of Pacific and Night City, but is not a part of the city in terms of identity and law. Michał Mańka: How is it with this Dogtown?
